Our story
Downhouse Farm has been in our family for almost four decades and we lived in the farmhouse, before undertaking the renovation works and deciding to turn it into a holiday home. We have been welcoming guests here since 2019 and love meeting so many wonderful people and giving them a place to explore our beautiful part of the world.
In 2023 we took on the new project of renovating Granary Barn, a small red brick barn historically used to store and mill the grain. Works were carried out sympathetically to maintain the charm of this characterful building, but inline with our environmental ethos it was brought into the 21st century with the addition of renewable technologies, including solar panels, solar battery storage and an air source heat pump. We starting welcoming guests to Granary Barn in the spring of 2024.
If you need anything during your stay we haven’t moved far! Kate (daughter) and her family live next door to the Farmhouse and Phil and Maureen (Dad and Mum) live in a converted barn also on the farm, so there is always someone on hand to greet you, make sure you have everything you need or to have a chat about things to do locally.
We feel holidays at Downhouse Farm are not just your average self-catering stay. We hope you love these wonderful buildings and this stunning spot in the Cotswolds as much as we do. We want our guests to feel like they are at a real home from home, have a truly wonderful time and make lasting memories while at Downhouse Farm.
