The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is a large yet cosy country cottage, with a generously sized kitchen with a warming AGA for you to rustle up some breakfast, a relaxing living room with a homely wood burner and four spacious comfy bedrooms for you to get a good nights rest. Here’s an overview of the rooms within the Farmhouse, including floor plans.
Ground Floor
Kitchen
A well equipped kitchen, complete with all you need to cater for your stay. An AGA ensures the room is toasty and warm through the cooler months, but don’t worry if you haven’t cooked on one before, there is a separate oven and hobs for you to use. There is an integrated dishwasher and large fridge-freezer, plus a farmhouse table which comfortably seats eight making this a sociable, bustling room and the heart of the house. An additional small table and chairs can be included to provide seating for groups up to 10. A lovely large window makes it a bright space and provides views across the garden and fields beyond.
living Rooms
There are two large receptions rooms to provide plenty of space for you to relax after a busy day sightseeing or walking the local hills.
The first is cosy with a wood burning stove, perfect to unwind in front of with a glass of wine or to enjoy a family board game. It has a large corner sofa, and a two-seater sofa, smart TV and DVD player.
The second has a lovely gas fired stove, with a hatch that connects it to the kitchen - ideal for keeping an eye on the younger members of the group. The beautiful wooden floors, original wooden shutters and even the remains of the historic servants bell fill this room with character and charm. It is furnished with a couple of comfy armchairs and a two-seater sofa.
boot room
A flagstone-floored boot room, which leads from the kitchen to the garden, provides the ideal space for muddy wellies after a day stomping through the countryside, a place to store any bikes or dry down muddy and wet canine companions. Although a quirk of the building means the outside door is very low, so be sure to duck on your way outside!
utility room and toilet
The utility room is kitted out with a washing machine and tumble dryer, handy to have although hopefully you won’t need to spend too much of your holiday doing washing! This leads through to a downstairs toilet.
First Floor
All the sleeping accommodation is located on the first floor, up a flight of stairs.

For the warmer months there is comfy outdoor seating to while away the hours under the apple tree, plus a picnic style table and benches for outdoor dining.
